Beowulf the movie December 2, 2007
Posted by uhuh in : Movie , add a commentI watched Beowulf with a friend and it took seconds for me to digest that what I am about to see is actually an animation, not a real live action movie. I was amazed and disappointed at the same time. Amazed, because film-making has gone so far with the animation technology to the point of deceiving poor little folks like me. Disappointed, because I felt deceived somewhat.
Anyway, since I was already there in the moviehouse, there’s no point entertaining the negative and so I focused on the film itself.
Well, I am glad the movie was entertaining enough. I am just amazed with the visual effects. Truly, this movie offers so much eye candy. The story is quite OK. Beowulf, no matter how strong the warrior he is, also has his inner demons to face, and sometimes this inner demon overwhelms the person of remarkable strength and courage.
Nice movie, all in all.
Nicole looks like an evil Snow Queen October 29, 2007
Posted by uhuh in : Beauty, Celebrity, Movie , add a commentI have always admired Nicole Kidman especially in movies such as The Others and The Invasion. She is really good. But things don’t look that well for Nicole on the face department.
Just recently, when Nicole attended some red carpet of a certain movie, she looked so pale that I almost can see through her. But what’s really disturbing is the fact that you cannot see a wrinkle on her face. Talk about Fort Myers botox huh.
I am not so sure anymore but I think Nicole should really consider getting rid of the Snow Queen effect she has on her face. It really looks creepy. She could at least put on some blush on or something to put a little life on her seemingly cold and lifeless face.
Apat Dapat October 28, 2007
Posted by uhuh in : Celebrity, Comedy, Lame, Movie , add a commentI watched the movie Apat Dapat about two weeks ago and I forgot to write about it then so I am going to do it right now instead.
I went to the moviehouse expecting that there will be lots of fun in this movie considering that four of the hottest female comediennes are in it. It’s 4x the fun, so they say. However, as the movie unfolds and I was on my seat, trying very hard to enjoy the film, I realized that this is all just hype.
Well, honestly, I love Eugene, Pokwang, Candy, and Rufa Mae (in proper order). But this movie just didn’t hit the bullseye. I would have loved to see Eugene delivering lines about ideas for tattoos alone than seeing the four of them do stupid things in order to squeeze out laughter from the audience. Seriously, they could have done better.
Stardust October 28, 2007
Posted by uhuh in : Celebrity, Movie , 1 comment so farI watched Stardust last week with friends. The movie was kinda interesting. Pretty shallow but still entertaining enough to make us consider that it’s worth the amount we paid for it.
Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Robert De Niro were all fun to watch. The most interesting characters were actually those of Pfeiffer and De Niro. As always, Michelle looks very pretty and radiant. I wonder if she ever had a rhinoplasty in Melbourne before but I think she hasn’t. The facelift though, is quite possible.
The movie as I mentioned, is pretty shallow. It’s all about a falling star who fell in love with an ordinary guy, who turned out to be the son of a princess. Well, they pretty much had a happily-ever-after ending, and well, we sort of liked that it was put that way.
It was actually not made to be serious and I think that’s what made the film acceptable enough for all of us. I can say that there’s a great chance for you to enjoy this movie so try and go watch it for yourself.
